Poll vs Vote

When a session is created, it either just collects opinions or commits the group to reaching a decision. That's the Poll/Vote switch.

Poll

Collects opinions — no required outcome. When the session closes, the result is the final table: every option with its combined standing under the session's method. Nothing has to "win"; the table itself is the answer.

Vote

Must reach a winning outcome, defined by the consensus target: how many winners the group needs, and the support threshold each winner must clear (51% = simple majority). In a Rounds vote, missing the target triggers a runoff round on the remaining options; in a Live vote, the room shows a progress strip and the host closes once the target is reached.

What "support" means

You support an option when it's among your top picks — as many picks as there are winners to choose. If the session needs 2 winners, your top 2 count as supported by you. An option's support is the share of participants counting it in their top picks, and a winner needs that share to reach the threshold. The strip in the room — for example ≥ 51% · 3 of 5 — reads: the threshold is 51% of participants, which right now means 3 of the 5 people in the room.
